AND THEY WERE PERFECT PARENTS TOO!
They were fiercely proud of their children’s accomplishments.
They played together as a family.
They went to school plays, parent/teacher interviews, and helped with school work.
They co-parented, Gomez was just as active in raising their children as Morticia was.
When their children wanted something that they disapproved of, they were disappointed but relented because it would make them happy.
Plus, all TV married couples kind of hate each other and argue 90% of the time for the sake of comedy, but these two have always seemed to be forever and always in love, which is kind of sweet.
And if that’s only possible because they’re weirdos, what does that say about us?
Is it odd I actually really like this post?
Let’s not forget what all the Addams would do for their friends!
During the shows, when any one of their “normal” friends wanted to do something that they didn’t understand they were still all “go for it, we’re with you!”, you would be so strange to them, but they loved and accepted you anyways. They always participated in community events, always polite, welcoming, and generous. As a child (admittedly I still do) I use to dream that the Addams were my real family (or that I would grow up to be just like Morticia and marry a man like Gomez, because who the hell wouldn’t want to be so damn beautiful and elegant and smart and charming and worshiped by her man), they really were the perfect family.

Yae no Sakura is my first Taiga Drama unless you count the cuts from Fuurin Kazan I saw…which I don’t count since I saw those scenes to drool over Gackt rather than to pay attention to any plot.
Will go back to watch that properly one day.

No worries, you’ll come back. Mr. Hiddleston had me for a while too, I left Gackt for a good six months, then I saw shirtless pic floating around and I haven’t strayed since.
